The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers classroom course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the following skills:
Instructor-led, hands-on class format to reinforce skills proficiency and consistency. The initial provider course completion time requirement is approximately 5-6 hours, including skills practice, skills testing, and written evaluation. The renewal course time requirement is approximately 4 hours, including skills practice and evaluation.

SHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card valid for two years.
Provides participants with the critical skills and knowledge necessary to manage an emergency in the first few minutes until the emergency medical services (EMS) takes over. This course also teaches adult CPR AED.
Optional modules include child CPR AED and infant CPR including a child and infant choking.
Video-based- Instructor-led, hands-on class format. The course incorporates the Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows Instructors to observe students, provide feedback and guide them to fully acquire the skills.
Anyone with limited or no medical training seeking a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
SHA course completion card valid for two years.
Successful completion including skills demonstration and CPR AED skills test.
Upon successful completion and skills demonstration, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid course completion card valid for two years.
Heart Saver CPR AED course has been updated to involve the latest science in ILCOR Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.
This video-based classroom course teaches CPR, AED use, and child CPR and AED use choking in an adult, child or infant.
Practice-While-Watching consistent, accurate modeling of skills performance on the course video. Adult, child and infant skills are presented in three separate modules for extra flexibility.
Any individual seeking to learn CPR in an Instructor-led or facilitated group environment.
No card is provided upon completion of this course.
There is no written evaluation for this course.
The course follows the recent International Resuscitation Guidelines in advanced cardiovascular life support endorsed by SHA. This course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication as well as systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care.

The objective of the PALS Course is to have a better quality of care and management protocol provided to ill or injured children, resulting in decreasing morbidity and mortality
The NRP course provides Healthcare providers with the basic knowledge to care for the neonatal patient in cardiac arrest and to manage resuscitation efforts in conditions that can potentially lead to arrest.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to:

Approximately 8 hours (one full day).
The course provides the essential information and skills required for providers to identify and treat life threatening injuries under the extreme circumstances associated with these situations in the fast-paced and anxious environment of a trauma room.
