On the occasion of World Health Day, an internal awareness activation was conducted at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Madinah on Tuesday, 7th April 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This initiative was organized by the Marketing, Patient and Family Education Department, Family Medince, Infection Control, Dietary services & Nursing department to promote health awareness among staff and visitors.

The campaign focused on raising awareness about common chronic conditions, including:

• Diabetes Mellitus 
• Hypertension 
• Obesity

The activities included:

• Blood glucose measurement using a glucometer
• Blood pressure monitoring
• General health education and counseling

Educational materials were shared with participants to enhance their understanding of disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and early detection. In addition, the Diabetes Awareness Workshop Evaluation Questionnaire was utilized to assess participants’ understanding and gather feedback on the educational sessions.

The event witnessed good engagement from participants, with active involvement in screening and educational discussions. The interactive approach helped in delivering key health messages effectively.

Conclusion:

The World Health Day activation was successful in promoting awareness about diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. It emphasized the importance of regular screening, healthy lifestyle practices, and patient education in preventing and managing chronic diseases.
