Osteoarthritis is one of the most rheumatic diseases.

The disease causes cartilage erosion of the joint surface (cartilage is a harsh elastic substance that covers and protects bone ends to help ease movement and prevent bone erosion).

Symptoms of Osteoarthritis
  • Pain in the affected joint, especially when standing and during movement or when using the injured joint.

Causes of Osteoarthritis

The doctor diagnoses the disease based on the symptoms the patient complains about, the medical history, and the clinical examination.

Osteoarthritis treatment
  1. Drug therapy
    Analgesic (paracetamol, non-steroidal anti -inflammatory, cortisone, hyaluronic acid).
  2. Non-drug therapy
    (Weight loss & simple exercise such as walking).
  3. Exercise
    (consult your doctor and physiotherapist before starting the exercise program)
  4. Use hot or cold compresses.
  5. Surgical therapy
    (endoscopic surgery for knee-damaged joint replacement surgery).
Important points in daily life
  • Choose a suitable time to do daily exercises to ensure continuity in its performance.
  • After performing the work for a long time, you must stop and take a break and then continue the work.
  • Take care when carrying heavy things and the method of carrying is healthy.
  • Sitting correctly provided that the back is straight when sitting.
  • Avoid staying in the same position for a long time.
  • Using comfortable medical mattresses that maintain the spine comfortably and healthily
