Instructions After Circumcision

Circumcision

Is a surgery to remove the excess skin that covers the end of the penis.

Take care of the baby after surgical circumcision:

1. Use paracetamol regularly every 6 hours for 48 hours
2. Remove the dressing after 24 hours after putting oil all over the dressing
3. If there is bleeding apply pressure on circumcision site for 5 minute and it will stop, if it didn’t stop head to the emergency department
4. Apply the ointment on circumcision site every 6 hours for 7 days

Take care of the baby after circumcision with plastibell:

1. The plastic ring will fall on its own within 10-7 days
2. Use paracetamol regularly every 6 hours for 24 hours
3. Use 2 drops of any natural oil over the ring with every change of the diaper
4. If there is bleeding or swelling at the glans head to the emergency department
5. In case if the ring didn’t fall after 10 days follow up your doctor
