As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fakeeh Group – Madinah launched a series of comprehensive awareness activities throughout the month of October. These initiatives aimed to educate the community about the importance of early detection, breast cancer screening, understanding risk factors, and adopting healthier lifestyle practices.
The campaign was carried out through strong collaboration across multiple departments, each contributing to the success of the events based on their expertise. The Patient experience Department (Social service) led the community engagement efforts, with valuable participation from Radiology, OB/GYN, Nursing, Family Medicine, Infection Control, Patient Education, Dietitians, Marketing team and Anesthesia. Each department played a vital role through educational booths, awareness stations, and patient-focused interactions.
The activities included

- Education about women’s health, risk factors, and preventive measures.
- Counseling on proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Guidance on signs and symptoms that should prompt medical evaluation.
- Infection control tips to ensure safe screening practices.
- Emotional and social support for patients and families.
- Providing clarification, materials, and addressing misconceptions.
Several community outreach activities and hospital-based booths were conducted to reach a wider audience and engage the public effectively.
