Criteria of Health Education Videos

Fakeeh Care General Guidelines

  • The Fakeeh Care logo must be included in all submitted videos.
  • The Fakeeh Care logo should be placed in the top right corner of the frame.
  • The use of infographics in the videos is permitted.

Video Technical Requirements

  • The following technical requirements apply to all video submissions for the Fakeeh Care (Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Health Promotion Award)
  • Length:
    • Videos should not exceed 4.5 minutes from introduction to conclusion.
  • Video Format:
    • Video resolution must be exactly 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels).
    • All videos must be encoded as MP4 files using the H.264 codec.
    • Videos must have a 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • Video File Size:
    • For video figures: up to 100 MB.
    • For video previews: up to 20 MB.
    • For video showcase submissions: up to 100 MB.
  • Video Encoding:
    • Video previews require MPEG-4 encoding using the H.264 codec (file format .mp4).
    • Most video editing software (e.g., iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) supports exporting in MPEG-4/H.264 format.
    • Use square pixels for the pixel aspect ratio to avoid stretching when the video is projected.
  • Video Opening Title:
    • You must include the title, authors of the work, and affiliations at the beginning of the video, either as a title shot or as overlay text.
    • Ensure the title is displayed long enough to be read: up to 10 seconds for Video Figures and up to 4 seconds for Video Previews.
  • Video Captions and Subtitles:
    • All spoken dialogue must be captioned or subtitled to improve accessibility.
    • Subtitles or captions ensure the video can be understood in noisy environments, in situations where sound is not permitted, and by hearing-impaired individuals.
  • Video Closing Title:
    • Credits, cast, and names of participants must be included at the end of the video.
  • Third-Party Material and Copyright:
    • Participants retain copyright for their submitted videos, but Fakeeh Care requires participants to sign a consent form allowing the organization to use the material.
    • Participants should be aware that submitted materials fall under the intellectual property rights of Fakeeh Care, and we have the permission to share them on our digital platforms or by any other means of communication deemed appropriate.
  • Lighting Technical Requirements:
    • Ensure sufficient lighting while recording the video.
    • Make sure faces are evenly lit without unwanted shadows.
    • Outdoor filming is recommended to take advantage of natural light; if not possible, ensure adequate indoor lighting.
  • Audio Technical Requirements:
    • Sample rate: 48,000 Hz
    • Stereo
    • Constant Bit Rate (CBR)
    • 24-bit depth, AAC codec
  • Deadline:
    • Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
